Dear Family,

We join you in remembering and giving thanks for the long life of your
wonderful mother and grandmother which has come to the inevitable end which
comes to all..   Thank you Yair for sending that soulful recent picture of
her; and thanks to Uri for his message conveying your sadness and relief
that she left us quickly and with little suffering.   Yudith's email in
February describing Sidi's decline and the many arduous trips you all made
to comfort her and assure her well being   prepared us for the news that her
life might soon be over.

You can all feel deeply contented that throughout her many years as your
venerated matriarch you faithfully loved and looked after her, returning the
abiding care you received from her throughout your lives.  I t was clear
during the two visits I  paid her in 1983 and 1990 that of each  you, and
the family as a unit , were in the focus of her attention and pride.   She
received Fran and me most warmly, and over tea and coffee carried on a
lively conversation that conveyed the magnitude of her intellectual
faculties and wisdom.

She was, immensely well read; also well informed about the other residents
in her retirement home, and in the world at large.  Memorable too were the
experiences she recounted about her eventful life.  As I write, I see a
little small multi-colored rug she gave us, woven by a friend in her house,
and serving as decorative head rest in my favorite easy chair.

Your memories are far richer.  As you mourn, may you share and enjoy them,
and as a last gift, support and love one another, as she did you.

On behalf of our children, and my sisters Lise and Hilda, and brother
Martin, we extend to you all our sympathy and love.

Stay in touch,

John & Fran
